How much does pressure washing cost in Teesside?

What is soft washing?
Low-pressure application of a biocide solution that kills algae, lichen and moss at the root instead of blasting the surface. It is the correct method for render, roof tiles and decking, all of which are damaged by high pressure.
Will pressure washing damage my block paving?
Not with professional equipment. A rotary surface cleaner at controlled pressure cleans evenly, and the jointing sand it removes is replaced with kiln-dried sand once the paving is dry.
What is the black spot on my patio?
A lichen that roots into the pores of the stone, very common on Indian sandstone across Teesside. It needs a dedicated chemical treatment before washing; pressure alone will not shift it.
Is sealing my driveway worth it?
On block paving, usually yes: sealing hardens the jointing sand, slows weeds and algae, and makes oil stains easier to treat. It adds roughly £5 to £8/m² and needs a dry weather window.
